LIC AAO, AE 2020 Notification, Exam Date, Syllabus, Apply Online

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has issued the official notification to recruit candidates for the posts of Assistant Engineers (A.E) – Civil/ Electrical /Structural /MEP & Assistant Architect (A.A) and Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) Specialist. All eligible and interested candidates can apply online only. No other means/mode of applications will be accepted.

It’s a national level exam conducted every year by LIC to recruit Indian Citizen. LIC has already issued the official notification. Preliminary Exam will be conducted on 4th April 2020 and Main exam date will be issued later by LIC.

IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience: Please find post wise educational qualification details mentioned below and apply for the post only if you fulfill the required qualification criteria.

A. For AE (Civil):

B.Tech/B.E. (Civil) from an AICTE recognized Indian University. Candidate should have a minimum three years working experience in planning and execution of multi storied building projects with all required infrastructure.

B. For AE (Electrical) :

B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University. Candidate should have a minimum three years working experience in planning and execution of multi storied building projects with all required infrastructure.

C. For Assistant Architect :

B. Arch. from a recognized Indian University. Candidate should be registered with Council of Architecture and possess a minimum of three years experience in designing of all types of buildings with allied services. Candidate should also be well versed with green building design requirements and application of AutoCAD software and / or similar type software.

D. For AE (Structural):

M. Tech / M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognized Indian University. Candidate should be well versed with structural design of high rise building with the foundation system. He/she should be familiar with various standards of BIS pertaining to structural design and Foundation design and must be experienced in handling of structural engineering software like ETABS, STAAD etc. Candidates applying for the post must possess minimum one year hands on experience in the area.

E. For AE (MEP engineers):

B. Tech./ B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University. Candidate should have a minimum three years experience in planning and execution of Plumbing /Piping /HVAC system, Lift & Fire Fighting system, Electrical Sub-station in multi storied buildings.

F. For AAO (Chartered Accountant)

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University and Candidates should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountant and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountant. The candidate should be Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

G. For AAO (Actuarial) –

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st February, 2020. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.

Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Three years Bar experience is essential. I. For AAO (Rajbhasha): Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level
OR
Post Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level
OR
Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.

J. For AAO (IT):

Graduation degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics), or MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/ Institution.

NOTE:

  • 1-Candidates should ensure that they are fulfilling educational qualification criteria exactly given as given above for the post they are applying.
  • 2- All the educational qualifications should be from a University/Institute/ Board recognized by Govt. of India.
  • 3- Candidates can apply for only one post. In case of multiple applications all the applications of the candidate will be summarily rejected.

LIC AAO AE 2020 Exam Pattern

Candidates are advised to check complete exam pattern before applying for any post and start the preparation according to latest syllabus and exam pattern.

LIC AAO, AE 2020 Exam will be conducted in two phases:

  • (i)Preliminary Exam
  • (ii)Mains Exam

(i)LIC AAO, AE 2020 Preliminary Exam Pattern:

There are three sections in Preliminary Exam-Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. 100 questions will be asked carrying total 70 marks. Total time duration will be 1 Hour.

Important points for Preliminary Exam:

  • Preliminary Exam will be an Objective type online test.
  • There is separate timing of 20 minutes for each section
  • English Language section will be a qualifying section only and marks obtained in English Language will not be added in total marks.
  • Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude section will be in both English & Hindi language.
  • Candidates equal to 20 times of number of vacancies in each category, subject to availability, will be shortlisted for Main examination.
  • English Language section will be specially related to grammar, vocabulary and comprehension

(ii)LIC AAO, AE 2020 Main Exam Pattern:

Candidates will be called for main exam if they cleared preliminary exam and secured minimum qualifying marks. There are four sections in Main Exam followed by a descriptive test. Candidates will have to attempt 120 questions carrying total 300 marks in 2 hours’ time period. There is sectional cut off in main exam and candidates will have to secure minimum qualifying marks for each section.

Important points about Main Exam:

  • Main Exam will be an online objective type test
  • Total duration for main exam will be 2 hours.
  • There will be a separate timing for each section in Main Exam
  • Candidates will have to attempt 120 questions carrying 300 marks
  • Candidates will have to secure minimum cut off marks in each section of Main Exam.
  • Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for interview
  • Total marks obtained in Main Examination and Interview will be counted  for final merit list.

Descriptive Paper:

There will be a descriptive test after Main exam. Descriptive test is different for LIC Assistant Administrative Officer(AAO) Legal post. Descriptive test is a qualifying test only and candidates will have to get minimum qualifying marks. Marks obtained in Descriptive test will not be counted for final ranking.

Interview:

  • On the bases of the performance in Main Exam candidates will be called for a Personal Interview round.
  • Total Marks for the interview is 60.
  • Minimum qualifying marks in Interview for EWS EWS, Unreserved, OBC are 30 and.Qualifying marks for SC /ST/PwBD candidates are 27.
  • The number of candidates to be called for interview will be about three times the number of vacancies to be filled

Application Fees:

For SC/ST/ PwBD candidates Intimation Charges of Rs. 85/- +Transaction Charges +GST

For all other candidates Application Fee-cum-Intimation Charges of Rs. 700/- +Transaction Charges + GST

Pay Scale and Benefits:

Selected candidates willget a basic pay of Rs. 32795/- per month in the pay scale of Rs. 32795- 1610(14) –55335– 1745(4) –62315.

Candidates will also be eligible for other benefits like House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance etc wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city will be approximately Rs 57,000/- per month in ‘A’ Class city. Other benefits are Defined Contributory Pension, Gratuity, LTC, Cash Medical Benefit, Group Mediclaim, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Insurance , Vehicle Loan (2-wheeler/4 wheeler) as per rules, meal coupon, reimbursement of cost of Brief case/leather bags, mobile handset, supply of dailies and magazines and tea/coffee, mobile expenses, etc.as per rules.

How to apply online for LIC AAO, AE 2020 Exam:

Candidates can apply online on official website from 25th February 2020 to 15th March 2020. Applications submitted through online mode will only be considered.

Prerequisites before applying online.

Please make below mentioned information/documents available before online application process.

  • Have a valid personal email ID and mobile no.
  • Scanned photograph(4.5 cm x 3.5 cm). Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred) and  Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb
  • signature (with black ink). Signature image should be in .jpg format with a dimensions of 140 x 60 pixels (preferred) and Size of file should be between 10kb-20kb
  •  left thumb impression (on white paper with black or blue ink). File type: jpg / jpeg. Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels and File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB
  • Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges.
  • A hand written declaration (on a white paper with black ink) (text given below). It should be written in candidates hand writing and in English only.  The text for the hand written declaration is as follows –

“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

Step-4: Now click on “Apply Online” link(See below image).

Step-6: Complete the registration

After clicking on “Click here for new registration” a new window will open (see below image).

Now candidates should complete the registration process by entering all asked information and uploading the documents. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. Candidate should click on “Save and Next” button on right bottom area after completing all details on a page. And finally click on “Final submit” button.

Step-7: Fee Payment:

After clicking on final submit button a payment window will open. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen.  On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form containing fee details. Please note that if the same cannot be generated, online transaction may not have been successful.
