Pay Scale

Candidates will get the salary 15600-39100+5400 Grade Pay

As per existing Government orders, candidates will get the fixed salary for 3 years of probation period equal to the minimum of the pay band without any grade pay or allowance.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Engineering degree in Civil or Mechanical from a recognized University or Institution. Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard is essential.

Age Limit: Candidates should not be below 18 years and above 37 years of age as on 01-01-2020. Candidates will get the reservation benefit as per the government of India rules.

Nationality:

A candidate shall be a:

  1. Citizen of India; or
  2. Citizen of Nepal; or
  3. The subject of Bhutan; or
  4. Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the Ist of January. 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India; or.
  5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on the performance in competitive written examination and personal interview.

Written exam will be conducted in November 2020.

There will be a written test of 300 marks (120 questions of 2.5 marks each) and an interview of 40 marks as per the following details:

There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

Candidates two times the number of posts who have scored a minimum of 45%  marks in written exams (40% for candidates of Scheduled Castes of Punjab and Backward Classes Punjab) will be called for the personal interview round.

The candidates can apply through the official website of the Punjab Public Service Commission. Candidates can visit http://ppsc.gov.in, for online form filling. No other modeĀ of application will be accepted.

Steps to apply online for the PPSC recruitment 2020:

  • Visit the official website of the Punjab public service Commission at http://ppsc.gov.in
  • On the left bottom side of the home page click on the “Apply for the post” link.
  • A new window will open including the information on available vacancies.
  • Click on the apply button for the post you want to apply. (link will active soon if not available)
  • Complete the online application process by providing all required details
  • Pay the online application fee and take a print out of the fee receipt and application form for further process.

There is no need to send the hard copy to PPSC.
