RRB ALP 2020: Admit Card, Exam date, Result, Syllabus, Exam Pattern, Eligibility

RRB ALP 2020 exam is not yet released by the Railway Recruitment board. All exams have been delayed due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak.

What is RRB ALP Exam?

The RRB Assistant Loco Pilot exam also known as the RRB ALP exam is a national level competitive exam conducted each year by Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician all over India.  

Notification

RRB ALP Technician’s previous notification was issued on 3rd February 2018. Around 64371 vacancies were released for the 2019 exam.

As per the pattern we are expecting more than 70000 vacancies in RRB ALP 2020 notification.

RRB is in the process to finalize all things and will release the official notification soon.

Exam Pattern

RRB ALP CBT 1 Exam Pattern 2020

CBT 1 will be an objective question type test with multiple choices. There will be a total of 75 questions and candidates will be given 60 minutes to complete the test.

CBT 1 will be only qualifying in nature.

All candidates will have to secure minimum qualifying marks in CBT 1 as mentioned in below table.

RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam Pattern 2020

All candidates successfully secured minimum qualifying marks in CBT 1 will be called for CBT 2. There will be two parts in CBT 2, part A and Part B.

CBT 2 Part A

CBT 2 Part A will consist of multiple choice objective type questions. There will be four sections in CBT 2 Part A and candidates will have to attempt the test in 90 minutes.

All candidates will have to secure minimum qualifying marks in CBT 2 Part A as mentioned below.

CBT 2 Part B:

CBT 2 Part B will consist of 75 questions and total duration of the test will be 60 minutes. All candidates will have to secure minimum 30% marks to qualify in CBT 2 Part B.

Computer Based Test only for ALP post

Computer Based Test will be applicable only for those candidates who have applied for the ALP post.

Candidates will have to secure a minimum of 42 marks in CBAT.

There is no negative marking in Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT).

Candidates will have to score minimum marks in each test battery.

Document Verification

All qualifying candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification.

Candidates will be called on the basis of performance in Part A of CBT 2 who secured minimum qualifying marks in Part B of CBT 2.

For ALP post, candidates must have qualified the Computer Based Aptitude Test also.

Appointment of selected candidates is subject to clear the required medical test by Railway Authority.

Note: Marks obtained in CBT 2 Part A will only be considered in making the final merit list. All other parts are qualifying in nature and candidates will have to secure minimum qualifying marks.
