SSC CGL notification 2021 pdf released: Check Syllabus, pattern, cut-off, etc

SSC CGL 2021 recruitment notification has been released today (29th December) by the Staff Selection Commission officially on their website to recruit candidates in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India.

Interested and eligible candidates who want to apply for the SSC CGL 2021 exam can submit an online application form. It is advised to check the SSC CGL Exam Date and submit the application one week before the last date due to too much heavy load on the SSC server last week.

Update (9th October 2020): Following the previous update on 1st October 2020, Staff Selection Commission will conduct the Skill Test for the SSC CGL 2018 exam on 18th and 19th December 2020.

Update (7th October 2020): Candidates can check their CGL Tier-3 exam marks on the official website.

Update (1st October 2020): Staff Selection Commission has issued a notification about the Skill Test for SSC CGL 2018 exam. The commission will conduct the SSC CGL 2018 exam Skill Test in December 2020. The exact date will be notified soon by the SSC.

Update (26th September 2020): As per the latest notification by SSC, Candidates can change their examination center for CGL 2019 Tier-2 and Tier-3 exam from 26 Sep to 29 Sep 2020.

Update (22nd September 2020): As per the latest revised dates notification from Staff Selection Commission SSC on 22nd September 2020, SSC CGL 2020 Tier-1 exam will be held from 29th May 2021 to 7th June 2021. The official notification for the SSC CGL 2020 exam will be made available on 21st December 2020.

Update (26th August 2020): As per the latest notification from Staff Selection Commission SSC CGL 2019 Tier-3 exam will be tentatively conducted on 22nd November 2020. All the qualified candidates in the Tier-1 exam are eligible for the Tier-2 and Tier-3 exam. Please check the below notice.

Update (21st July 2020): SSC once again revised the exam schedule on 21st July 2020. As per the revised schedule, SSC CGL 2019 Tier-2 exam will be conducted from 02nd November 2020 to 05th November 2020.

What is the SSC CGL exam?

Staff Selection Commission – Combined Graduate Level Examination is commonly known as SSC CGL is a national level competitive exam conducted each year by SSC to recruit staff for Group “B” and Group “C” posts in various ministries, departments and organizations of the Government of India.

It’s a dream job of graduates who are looking to make a career in reputed Indian Government organizations and require consistent study for at least 6 months to crack the exam due to a large number of applications.

Finally, the Staff Selection Commission has released the much-awaited SSC CGL notification 2021 pdf on the official website. Previously CGL notification was scheduled to be released on 21st December 2021 but it was delayed due to the Covid-19 crises. Now after the release of the official notification candidates can start submitting online applications. The last date to submit the online applications is 31st January 2021.

Important Points:

  • Tier-1 and Tier-2 Examination will consist of objective type of questions and question paper will be available both in Hindi and English language except for English comprehension.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks in the Tier-1 exam and 0.25 for each incorrect answer.
  • In the CGL Tier-2 Exam, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks in English Language and Comprehension and a negative marking of 0.50 marks for Quantitative Abilities, Statistics, and General Studies (Finance and Economics) paper.
  • The answer key will be updated later on SSC official website.
  • In the Tier-2 exam, Paper-I and Paper-II are compulsory for all the posts.
  • Paper-III of Tier-2 will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-II in the office of Registrar General, India (M/o Home Affairs).
  • In Tier-2, Paper-IV will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-IV i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.

Tier-3 (Descriptive Paper):

Important Points:

  • In the Tier-3 Exam, candidates can write answers either in Hindi or English for all papers.
  • Candidates are advised to write the correct Roll Number and affix signature and Left-hand Thumb Impression in the relevant columns in the Answer Book.

Tier-4 (Skill Test):

In the Tier-4 exam, Computer Proficiency Test and Data Entry Skill Test will be conducted.

Answer Key

Combined Graduate Level Examination – 2019 (Tier-1) Answer Key has been uploaded on the portal by the examination authority. Candidates can check their Answer Key by login on to the website.

How to check Answer Key? Please find below steps:

  • Visit the official SSC website at ssc.nic.in
  • Click on the Answer Key link on the top menu
  • Now click on SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination – 2019 (Tier-I) Answer Keys link
  • Now click on the link given in the notice
  • Enter your registration information
  • Answer Key will be displayed on the computer screen.

Candidates can check their answers and can send their challenge-response to the exam authority for correction by paying Rs 100 fee per question.
