What is the Common Eligibility Test?

The Common Eligibility Test is a national level test introduced to conduct a preliminary examination for the Group C and Group D posts under SSC, RRB, and IBPS for the central government of India. Cet will be conducted by the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) in 12 regional languages all over India.

Initially, Common Eligibility Test will be conducted for the Group C and Group D posts for IBPS, RRB, and SSC. Later on, more recruiting agencies can sign an MOU to conduct the Common Eligibility Test for the primary level screening of their existing recruitment process.

Type of the Common Eligibility Test

Common Eligibility Test will be conducted separately for three different level of the educational qualification.

  • 10th standard level
  • 12th standard level
  • graduation level

The exam pattern and syllabus for all three levels will be different. Exam Pattern and Syllabus will be shared by the National Recruitment Agency after the starting of the National Recruitment Agency web portal.

Languages

NRA CET 2021 will be conducted in 12 different languages and will be further scaled to introduce more regional languages in the future. This will help the job seekers of different regions in India. Now job seekers can opt for the language of their choice by introducing the 12 regional languages.

CET Score

After the Common Eligibility Test candidates will get a score based on their performance in the Computer Based Examination (CBT). This Score will be valid for a period of three years.

Based on this CET score candidates will be selected to appear for the Tier-2 and Tier-3 examinations of the other partnered recruiting agencies.

CET will be conducted two times a year so candidates can attempt another test also to improve their scores. A higher score will be considered for screening purposes.

Eligibility

There will be three different CET exams for three educational qualifications such as 10th class, 12th class, and graduation. All candidates who have cleared the 10th class, 12th class, and graduated or currently pursuing their final year of the examination are eligible to appear for the exam.

When will the first CET exam be conducted?

Will CET replace SSC, IBPS, and RRB?
