What is the CTET Exam? CTET Full Form?
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test commonly known as the CTET exam is a national-level competitive exam conducted twice a year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to test the candidate’s eligibility for appointment as a teacher in Primary and Upper Primary level.
The full form of CTET is “Central Teacher Eligibility Test“. CTET Exam is generally conducted in July and December. Candidates have to secure a minimum of 60% marks in order to clear the CTET exam.
There are two papers in CTET EXAM, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates who want to become a teacher for class I to V needs to clear Paper 1 and candidates who wish to become a teacher for class VI to class VIII needs to clear Paper 2.
A candidate can attempt both Paper if he wants to teach students of class 1 to class 8.
CTET exam was conducted for the first time in 2011.

4th November 2020: As per the latest notification released by the CBSE, CTET 2020 exam will be conducted on 31st January 2021 ((Public Notice 04.11.2020, Central Board of Secondary Education, Nov. 04, 2020. Accessed on: Nov. 06, 2020. [Online]. Available: https://ctet.nic.in/webinfo/Handler/FileHandler.ashx?i=File&ii=757&iii=Y)). CTET 2020 exam was postponed due to the Covid-19 concerns. Now the number of cities for the exam has also extended to maintain social distancing. Candidates can change their examination city preference from 7th November to 16th November 2020.

CTET 2020 notification
CTET 2020 notification was released on 2nd January 2020. The application process was started on 24th January 2020 and ends on 24th February 2020. All important information have been released along with the CTET 2020 notification such as application process, eligibility criteria, etc.
CTET Exam which was scheduled to be conducted on 5th July 2020 has been postponed till any further notice.

CTET Exam pattern 2020
CTET Exam Pattern 2020 will consist of two papers. Candidates can choose any paper according to their choice.
Candidates can attempt both papers also. Both papers will consist of objective type questions with four choices.
Candidates can select one out of four choices as an answer. There is no negative marking in CTET 2020 Exam.
There will be two papers of CTET.
Note: If someone wants to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) then he will have to appear in both the paper rs (Paper I and Paper II).

Nature and standard of questions:
Candidates need to select Language 1 and Language 2 while submitting the online application form. Language codes are given in the below table.
CTET registration 2020: CTET apply online 2020 Exam?
For CTET registration 2020, the Candidate needs to apply online and no other mode of application will be accepted. Candidates can register ‘ON-LINE’ through the CTET website www.ctet.nic.in.
CTET 2020 Exam Fee:
The candidate should fill all details while CTET registration 2020 online Form and upload their scanned images of the latest photograph & signature.
After successful submission of data and requisite fees, Candidates are required to take a printout of the Confirmation Page. Candidates can follow the below steps for online application submission.

Log on to CTET official website.
First of all, candidates should visit the official website here (see below image)
Go to the link “ Application Form for CTET JULY 2020 ” and open the same.
Now scroll down the page and click on “Application Form for CTET JULY 2020“.(See below image)
Click on “New Registration” link.
Now you will come on user registration page(See image above). Now click on “New Registration” link
Now Click on “Click here to proceed” button on new page.
Scroll down this page select checkbox “I have downloaded information bulletin, read and understood all the instructions“.(See image above). Now click on “Click here to proceed”
Fill in the Online Application Form completely
You are now on the candidate information page(See above image). Fill all the information carefully. Fill complete the online Application Form and choose a password.
After submission, a Registration Number/Application Number gets generated.
Note down the Registration No./Application No. For subsequent login, system generated Registration No./Application No. and chosen Password will be used.
Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature:
- Upload scanned photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format
- The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 to 100 KB.
- Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
- The size of the scanned signature should be between 3 to 30 KB.
- Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height).
Pay Examination Fee:
Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card and net banking
The application fee can be paid in two ways:
- Through E-Challan: By depositing the prescribed fee in CTET Exam Fee Account with Syndicate Bank e-Challan or Canara Bank e-Challan.
- By Online-mode: Payment by Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking.
Print Confirmation page for record and future reference:
Candidates are required to take a printout of Confirmation Page for record and keep it for their reference. The Confirmation Page is not required to be sent to CTET.
