National Testing Agency has released the UGC NET Exam 2021 Application Form on behalf of the University Grant Commission for June month. UGC NET Exam is a national level exam and conducted two times a year in June and December.

5th November 2020: NTA has released the UGC NET Answer Key for the June 2020 exams. Check all details.

Update (28th October 2020): NTA has made available the UGC NET Admit Card download link for the papers scheduled for November 4, 5, 11, 12, and 13 2020 on the official website. Candidates can now download their Admit Card. Visit the official NTA website and click on the Admit Card link. Now download your Admit Card by entering the login details in the login form as shown below.

Update (19th September 2020): NTA has shared subject wise shift timing for the UGC NET exam on its official website. UGC NET exam will be conducted on 24, 25, 29, 30 September, 1, 7, 9, 17, 21, 22, 23 October, and 5th November 2020. Please check your shift timing as per the subjects you have applied for.

Update (14th September 2020): NTA has shared the revised dates for the UGC NET exam 2020. Now the NET examination will start on 24th September 2020. Any information about the Admit Card will be made available soon on the official website by NTA.

Update (21st August 2020): UGC NET exam will be conducted from 16th to18th September and 21st to 25th September 2020 as per the latest notification by the National Testing Agency on 20th August 2020. For more details, check the below notice shared by NTA.

NTA UGC NET exam date 2020: last date for online application has been extended and candidates can now fill the online form till 15th June 2020.

NTA UGC NET exam is conducted to test the candidate’s eligibility for “Assistant Professors” and “Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor”. A notification has already been released on 16th March 2020.

UGC NET Exam has been postponed. It was previously scheduled to be conducted in two shifts from 15th June to 20th June 2020. All eligible and interested candidates can apply online at https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/ only. No other means/mode of applications will be accepted. Candidates from the science stream can apply for CSIR UGC NET Exam.

UGC NET June 2021 Exam Pattern

There will be two papers in UGC NET June 2021 Exam, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both papers will be conducted without any break. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours and there s no fix timing for any paper. Paper 1 will consist of 50 Multiple choice questions and Paper 2 will have 100 multiple-choice questions.

There will be no negative marking in the UGC NET Exam and for each correct answer 2 marks will be awarded.

Important points about UGC NET 2021 Exam:

  • UGC NET Exam will be an online objective type test
  • The total duration for the main exam will be 3 hours.
  • There is no separate timing and candidate can attempt any paper as per his/her choice in 3 hours
  • Candidates will have to attempt 150 questions carrying 300 marks
  • There is no negative marking in UGC NET Exam and 2 marks will be given for each correct answer. Candidates can attempt all questions in the exam.

UGC NET Registration 2021: How to apply online for June 2021 Exam:

Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website from 2nd February 2021 to 2nd March 2021. Candidates can apply only in “online mode”. Applications submitted through other modes will not be accepted.

UGC NET Cut off

UGC NET 2020 Exam cut off will be released by National Testing Agency along with the result after 5th July 2020. Separate cut off will be issued for “JRF and Assistant Professor” and “Assistant Professor only”. Candidates will get an idea about minimum qualifying marks by checking the cut-off. Candidates can download cut off from the official website by login in using their application id and password.
