Exam dates 2020 will be announced by RRB soon. The exam conducting authority is in the final stage to authorize the exam date.
RRB Group D 2019 exam was scheduled to be conducted in September 2019 but it was postponed by RRB. There is no official exam date released by RRB till now.
We will update you about the exact date as soon as the official exam conducting authority releases any notification.

What is the RRB Group D exam?
RRB Group D exam is a national level exam conducted by RRB on behalf of various Railway Recruitment Cells (RRC) for the recruitment of various posts like Track Maintainer, Helper/ Assistant, Assistant Pointsman, etc in Level – 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix in various departments of Indian Railways
Exam notification
RRB Group D exam notification was released on 12th March 2019 by RRB. Application process is already finished. This year RRB will recruit around 1,03,769 candidates for the Group D Level 1 posts.
Candidates will be recruited for the posts like Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/ Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T departments), Assistant Pointsman, Level-I posts in other departments of Indian Railways.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before proceeding for the online application process. RRB Group D eligibility criteria includes the below mentioned details.
1)-Age Limit
Candidate must check age limit criteria before proceeding further. Age limit will be calculated as on July 1 2019.
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will be given according to the category. Please find the below details.
2)-Educational Qualification
A minimum level of educational Criteria has been declared by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Candidate must fulfil the educational criteria in order to appear for the exam.

Railway Recruitment Board also declared the details about Medical Standards. Candidates called for Document Verification will have to pass a requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration.
Selection Process
Selection process will be done on basis of following steps.
Date and time for all four phases CBT, PET, Document verification and Medical Examination will be informed to all candidates.
1-Computer Based Test (CBT)
All the eligible candidates have to undergo a Computer Based Test (CBT) on the specified date, time, and venue as per the e-call letter to be downloaded by the candidates from the websites of RRBs/RRCs.
The information about the e-call letter download shall be communicated through the websites as well as personal email communication to the candidates.
The examination duration and number of questions for CBT are indicated below:
There will be negative marking in Computer Based Test (CBT) and 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Minimum Marks required to clear the CBT:
Candidates will have to secure minimum percentage marks in order to qualify in the CBT test. Please find more details in the below table.
2- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
All candidates who clears the written exam successfully and secured minimum cut off marks will be called for the second stage Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates around three times of the number of vacancy of respective RRBs/RRCs will be called for the PET. Physical Efficiency Test is only a qualifying test and marks will not be added in the final merit list.

3-Document Verification
After clearing the CBT and secured minimum qualifying marks in PET, Candidates twice the number of available vacancies will be called for the document verification. The selection of these candidates will be based on the Medical Test that will be the final step of recruitment process.
4-Medical Examination
Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates.

How to Apply?
All interested can apply for the exam through respective RRBs, RRCs website. Details of all website is given at the end of this post. Candidates can apply for only one Railway.
Candidates must have below information/ Documents before proceeding for the online application.
Candidates are required to go to the link provided for filling the ONLINE application and fill up the personal details/Bio-Data, the fee paid, etc, carefully.
STEPS TO SUBMIT ONLINE APPLICATION:
Step #1: Registration on Railway website
- Select the Railway to which you wish to apply. Please be aware that, Railway once selected cannot be changed after the preliminary registration is completed and the Registration number is allotted.
- Confirm that you have read and understood the instructions clearly by clicking the checkbox. Click on the “New Registration”
- Now enter all required details in the application form mentioned below and submit the registration form.
Candidates will get OTP to verify the email id and mobile number entered in the registration form. After registration candidates will receive a unique registration number for further process.
Step #2: Online application filling
- After registering on the website candidates can visit the home page and click on the “Already Registered” button using the Registration Number and password to proceed for online application filling.
- In part 1 candidate will have to provide below-mentioned details
- Educational Qualification
- Community i.e UR/OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/EWS
- Gender
- Religion
- Ex-SM, PwBD, CCAA, Minority, Economically Backward Class and Age Relaxation eligibility category
- In Part II of the application page, the candidate has to indicate his/her priority/preference of the posts. The candidate should fill their priority/preferences number in the textbox against each post that he/she is eligible for, in the Railway they are applying to.
Step #3: Fee Payment
Now candidate can proceed for the fee payment. Candidates can pay the application fee through online (Credit Card/ Debit Card/ UPI/ Online Banking) and offline (SBI Challan or Post Office Challan) both medium.
Step #4: Fill other details and Documents upload
After the fee payment candidates will have to complete the application form by providing all other details mentioned below.
Now candidates can upload the scanned photograph and signature. SC, ST candidates will have to upload their certificate
Step #5: Final Submission of Application
Finally candidates can submit the online application. Selection the declaration box and click on submit button to complete the RRB Group D exam online application process.
