SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 Exam: Staff Selection Commission organizes the SSC Stenographer exam each year to recruit eligible candidates for the post of stenographer for Grade C and D in central government organizations. SSC Stenographer 2020 exam will be conducted from 29th March 2021 to 31st March 2021 in online mode.

SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 Exam Pattern and Selection Process

Candidates preparing for the SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 exam should check the exam pattern and selection process carefully. It will help candidates in their exam preparation and getting a job in any Government Organization in India.

The selection process will be in two-step. The first exam will be an online computer-based test and the second exam will be a Skill Test. Computer Based Test (CBT) will be the same for “Group C” and “Group D”. Since

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern:

SSC Stenographer 2020 will be conducted in two different levels:

  • 1. SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Tier 1 Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • 2. SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Tier 2 Skill Test

Candidates will have to crack both exams if they are looking to get a job through the SSC Stenographer 2020 exam for the post of Grade C & D.

SSC Stenographer Tier 1 Examination Group C & D:

There are three sections in SSC Stenographer Exam named General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and English Language and Comprehension. Candidates will have to attempt 200 questions in 2 hours’ time period so it is advised to candidates to do enough practice for completing the total exam within a given time.

Important points for Online Test:

  • The online exam will be an objective questions type exam
  • There will be negative marking for each wrong answer
  • 0.25 marks will be deducted from total marks for each wrong answer
  • There will be 200 questions of 200 marks
  • Total time duration of online exam will be 120 minutes
  • Medium of exam will be Bilingual

SSC Stenographer C & D Tier 2 Examination(Skill Test)

Successfully qualified candidates in Computer Based Test will be called for the next stage of the selection process. Skill Test will be organized in different regional sub-offices. Candidates will be notified by SSC about the location where they will have to visit for Skill Test. In Skill Test 10 minutes time will be given to candidates to write dictation with a speed of 100 words per minute for Grade C post and 80 words per minute for Grade D post.

SSC Stenographer C & D Interview Details:
There will be no interview for SSC Stenographer 2020 Exam. The final result will be based only on the performance of the Online Test(Tier 1) and Skill Test(Tier 2). Candidates cleared both exams will be rewarded a job in the requisite Government Department or Ministry.

SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 Exam Online Application

The registration for SSC STENOGRAPHER Exam 2020 will be done in online mode only at the official website of SSC  i.e. https://ssc.nic.in. No other mode of application will be accepted. Please find below details about the online application process.

SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 Exam Application Fee:

The Application Fee for SSC Stenographer 2020 Exam will be Rs. 100/-(for General and OBC). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category as well as female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

Prerequisites before applying online:

Before proceeding with One-time Registration, keep the following information/ documents ready:

  • a.A valid Email Id
  • b. Information about the Board, Roll Number, and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination.
  • c.Working Mobile Number
  • d.Aadhaar Number.
  • e. Scanned colour passport size recent photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
  • f. Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB). Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height).

The process of filling online application for the examination consists of two parts:

  • I. One-time Registration.

Part-I (One-Time Registration):

For One-time Registration, click on the “Register Now” link provided in the “Login” section on https://ssc.nic.in.

  • Visit the official website of SSC and navigate to click on “Apply”
  • Click on the “Steno C & D” tab and click on the “Apply now” link.
  • One Time Registration Process requires filling up your basic details, contact details and uploading your image and signature
  • Once you have completed filling the form, click on save and submit.

Part-II (Online Application Form)

  • Enter the SSC Official Website ssc.nic.in
  • Login using the credentials you obtained from One Time Registration
  • Click the “Apply” link in “SSC Stenographer Examination 2020” Section under “Latest Notifications” tab
  • proceed with the application process and fill all details carefully.

Download SSC STENOGRAPHER Admit Card/Call Letter for Paper 1 and Paper 2

Candidates can download SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 Exam Admit Card from the official website in the month of July. We will update you about the availability of Admit Card once it is available to download. Admit Card will be updated once the application process is over and the exam centers are finalized.

The Paper 1 result of the SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 Exam will be issued by Staff Selection Commission in the month of September. Candidate can check the result from the official website by entering login details. We will also inform you once the result will be available to download.
