Update July 2020: As per the latest update by UPSC On a specific request by the Department of Economic Affairs, the Commission has reconsidered its earlier decision and has now decided to hold the Indian Economic Service Examination, 2020 on 16th to 18th October 2020.
The Notification of the examination is likely to be issued on 11/08/2020.
What is Indian Economic Service Exam?
Indian Economic Service exam is a combined competitive examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to Junior Time Scale of the Services whenever notified by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India.
Indian Economic Service is the administrative inter-ministerial civil service that falls under Group A of the Central Civil Service. UPSC has released a total of 15 vacancies this year for Indian Economic Services.

Eligibility Criteria

(I) Nationality:
A candidate must be either:—
(II) Age Limits:
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August 2020 i.e he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1990 and not later than 1st August 1999.
(III) Educational Qualifications:
A candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/ Econometrics.
(IV) Physical Standards:
Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standard for admission to Indian Economic Service Examination, 2020.

Visit the official website and click on the latest notification for Indian Economic Service Examination 2020. Now click on the “Click Here” on the next page.
Click on the Part I registration.
On the next page click on the Part I Registration link after the 11/2020-IES notice.
Complete the registration form
Now a registration form will open. Complete the registration form by providing all details and click on the continue button. After the registration process, you will get a Registration ID and password. Now complete Part II of the registration process by providing basic details, uploading the documents, and pay the application fee.
