What is RRB JE Exam?
RRB JE exam also called as Railway Recruitment Board Junior Engineer exam is conducted by RRB for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (IT), Depot Material Superintendant (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) in the various technical departments of Indian Railway.

RRB will soon release an official RRB JE notification 2020.
Previous RRB notification was released on 29th December 2018 for a total of 14033 posts. This year notification has been delayed by RRB due massive outbreak of COVID-19 Coronavirus.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility crieria is the first and most important thing candidates must check before applying for any post. There are four parts in RRB JE Eligibility Criteria 2020.

A candidate must be either:

The minimum Age to appear for the exam is 18 years and maximum age limit is 33 years. Age relaxation is also applicable according to the category.

Railway Recruitment Board has set different minimum Educational Qualification to appear for the RRB JE exam for different posts.

Exam Pattern
Candidates should check RRB JE Exam Pattern to start their preparation accordingly.
RRB JE Selection Process includes two Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.
There are four steps in the Exam Pattern.
CBT 1 Exam Pattern
RRN JE CBT 1 Exam Pattern will include objective type questions with multiple choices. Candidates will have to attempt the question paper in 90 minutes.
There are four sections in CBT 1, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science.
There will be negative marking in CBT 1 and 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The number of questions and marks for each section is given in the below table:
CBT 1 will be a qualifying test for CBT 2 and marks obtained in CBT 1 will not be added in the Final Merit List.
Candidates will have to secure minimum percentage marks in order to qualify in the CBT 1 exam. Details are given below.
CBT 2 Exam Pattern
After successfully qualify the CBT 1 test candidates will be called for CBT 2 exam.

Note:
- There will be five sections in the CBT 2 Exam Pattern.
- Candidates will have to attempt the exam in a total of 120 minutes.
- There will be negative marking f 1/3rd marks for every wrong answer.
- A virtual calculator will be made available on the Computer Monitor during 2nd Stage CBT.

Document Verification
Candidates qualifying the CBT 2 will be called for the Document Verification. An equal number of candidates according to o the vacancy will be called however some more candidates may be called in case any shortage or nonjoining of recommended candidates in the document verification part.
Candidates must bring all original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies of all documents at the time of DV. Further, these candidates should upload the scanned copies (in true color) of all the certificates as applicable prior to their DV date through the www.rrbdv.in portal.

Medical Examination
Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway
Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the
candidates.
