Bhabha Atomic Research Centre is inviting applications for the Stipendiary Trainee posts. A total number of 156 posts are available to fill.

Location: Location of the Training will be Bhabha Atomic Research Centre – Nuclear Recycle Board, Tarapur and Kalpakkam.

A/C Mechanic, Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Machinist, Instrument Mechanic, Welder (GMAW & GTAW), Mechanic Diesel, Machinist GrinderFor Posts 2.2 to 2.11 SSC (with Science and Maths)  with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate PLUS  trade certificate in A/C Mechanic/ Fitter/ Welder/ Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic/ Machinist/Instrument Mechanic/ Welder (GMAW&GTAW)/Mechanic Diesel/Machinist Grinder.
The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificate:
1. NTC (ITI pass out) of two-year duration. OR
2. NAC of Two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme OR
3. NTC (ITI pass out) of one-year duration plus one-year work experience after the completion of course. OR
4. NTC (ITI pass out) of one-year duration plus NAC of minimum one-year duration under the Apprenticeship Training Scheme.
Laboratory AssistantHSC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate OR SSC (with Science and Maths) with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in Laboratory Assistant. The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificate:
1. NTC (ITI pass out) of two years duration. OR
2. NAC of two years duration under the Apprenticeship Training Scheme. OR
3. NTC (ITI pass out) of one-year duration plus one-year work experience after the completion of course. OR

Selection Process- Stipendiary Trainee

The Selection Process will be completed through a three Stage process.

  1. Stage 1 Preliminary Test
  2. Stage 2– Advanced Test
  3. Stage 3– Skill Test

Stage 1 Preliminary Test

Stage 2- Advanced Test

All candidates Screened in Stage 1 will be allowed to undertake Stage 2 (Advance Test) in their respective trade.

  1. The Test will comprise 50 multi-choice questions (choice of 4 answers) of two-hour duration.
  2. ‘3’ marks for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  3. A Merit List of candidates will be prepared after Stage-2 based upon the scores obtained in Stage-2 only. All candidates with <30% in the General category and <20% in the reserved category will be screened out.

Stage 3- Skill Test

Based on the performance in Stage 1 and Stage 2 test candidates will be shortlisted for the Stage 3 Skill Test. Candidates clearing the skill test will be shortlisted for the final selection. Marks obtained in the Stage 2 Test will be considered for the final selection. Skill Test is a qualifying test only.

  • The number of candidates shortlisted for the Skill Test will depend upon the number of candidates qualifying for Stage 2 but will not exceed 4 – 5 times the number of vacancies in each trade.
  • The Skill Test will be based on the Go/No-Go basis.

  • After the first-time registration candidates will receive a Password by email address.

Step-2: Apply Online for the choice of your post

  • Now again visit the same website and click on the login button.
  • Enter your Email Address, Password, and security code and click on the login button.
  • Now candidates can apply for the desired post
  • Click on Apply Online for the post you want to apply for and complete the online application process.

Step-3: Fee Payment

Finally candidates can complete the online application process by online fee payment. Fee details is given below.
